1 continent, 6 countries, 18 events, 35 days and over 3000 participants: This is the summary of the SCUBAPRO UWATEC Diving Days 2008 season. SCUBAPRO UWATEC Diving Days were held between the months of April and July throughout Europe, including events in Italy, France, Spain, England, Belgium, Scotland and Denmark. But numbers alone cannot tell the real story about the people, the places, the new gear displayed and tested plus the fun experienced.
The video below is a collection of some of the best moments of this year’s events.
What is a SCUBAPRO Diving Day?
It is a unique occasion to dive with SCUBAPRO equipment and staff and to try new products in an actual dive situation. But a SCUBAPRO day is also a time to interact with other divers, meet new people, have fun and most importantly share the passion for diving. A true occasion to celebrate the best scuba diving can offer.
What did each event consist of in 2008?
Prior to diving, a detailed technical briefing allowed participants to learn, ask questions and discover features of the gear they would be testing underwater.
SCUBAPRO staff were available to answer questions about the products and after the final dive of the day, a celebration was held, ranging from an offering of simple local fare to full buffets and barbecues.
SCUBAPRO UWATEC Diving Days could not have existed without the participation and support from a multitude of our Authorized Dealers and Showrooms. The additional participation, in some countries, of training agencies, beverage companies and others, was also an added plus. See below for a detailed list of the diving sites and diving centers who made the events possible in 2008.
